It all began on the Zeta River

While most people looked for rest at home at the weekend, we found it on the water.

Every Saturday, we launched our kayaks onto the Zeta and paddled downstream. It was more than sport or recreation. It was a way to escape the daily noise, screens and responsibilities, even for a few hours.

There, surrounded by the sound of the river and unspoilt nature, the idea for Green Rivers was born.

Watching travellers camping by the banks, exploring Montenegro in vehicles with rooftop tents and enjoying the freedom of outdoor life, we realised we wanted to be part of that story: helping others experience what we had come to love.

Green Rivers is more than an outdoor equipment shop.

It is a brand born from a love of rivers, mountains and freedom, and of everything Montenegro offers those willing to leave the main road and discover something new.

We believe the best memories are made away from the crowds: beside a river, on a mountain summit, around a campfire or under the stars.

We carefully select our products for quality, functionality and the real needs of people who love nature as much as we do.

Nature deserves our care

During our kayaking trips on the Zeta, we regularly collect litter from the banks and water. This wish to contribute to protecting nature also led to the NGO “Funkcionalna rekreacija”, through which we organise activities to protect rivers and promote responsible outdoor recreation.

We believe in caring for nature as much as enjoying it.
